These days Kim Schroeder is a freelance writer and English Language Teacher, but for ten years she worked for the NHS as a mental health nurse. In 2004 she published Glad to be Mad - a book of poems encompassing her personal experiences and observations as both a nurse and a carer. Check out Kim's excellent website Nicholas Royle was born in Manchester in 1963. He is the author of five novels – Counterparts, Saxophone Dreams, The Matter of the Heart, The Director’s Cut and Antwerp – and one short story collection, Mortality. He has edited twelve anthologies including A Book of Two Halves (Phoenix), The Tiger Garden: A Book of Writers’ Dreams (Serpent's Tail), The Time Out Book of New York Short Stories (Penguin), and Dreams Never End (Tindal Street Press). He lives in Manchester with his wife and two children, and teaches creative writing at Manchester Metropolitan University.Megan Taylor's first novel How we Were Lost was published in June of 2007 by Flame Books.
