These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) explain the contract between you (“Attendee”), and Third Chapter Events Ltd  (“Organiser”), for tickets, attendance and related services for Fiction Fest UK on 11 April 2026 at Bridgewater Hall, Manchester (the “Event”), and use of this website. By purchasing a ticket, entering the event, or using this website you accept these Terms.

1. Tickets, booking & payment
Tickets sold via Eventbrite; payments processed by Stripe/Eventbrite systems.Ticket types: FoFF (£35), General Admission (£45), VIB (£60)Benefits and descriptions shown at checkout and may change.Valid email required for ticket delivery and updates.Tickets must be presented (digital or print) for entry.

2. Ticket Ownership & Usage
Tickets remain the property of Third Chapter Events LTD and constitute a personal revocable licence.Tickets may not be used for commercial promotions, competitions, hospitality, or sweepstakes without prior written consent.Unauthorised use renders the ticket void without refund.

3. Resale & Transfers
No refunds, unless cancelled by the Organiser.  See Clause 4.Tickets may only be resold via the official Fiction Fest UK 26 Facebook resale thread, at face value. We do not charge an admin fee for authorised resales.Tickets bought via unauthorised channels at your own risk.We reserve the right to require ID matching the ticket name at entry.

4. Refunds, Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure
Changes to programme, line-up, vendors, or venue do not entitle refunds (except where required by law).Tickets remain valid if the programme or line-up changes without notice.If the Event is cancelled by the Organiser, Attendees will receive a refund when requested, these will be processed in accordance with the ticketing/payment processor’s timelines.The Organiser is not liable for cancellation or changes due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (e.g., natural disaster, government restrictions, strikes, venue closure).

5. Age Restrictions
This is an 18+ event.By purchasing a ticket, you confirm all ticket holders are 18 or over.
Tickets for under-18s are void.

6. Accessibility & Carer Tickets
We aim to make the Event accessible, disability accommodations available on request with reasonable evidence.Complimentary carer tickets available on request with reasonable evidence.Requests should be sent to hello@fictionfest.co.uk as early as possible.The full Policies are available on request by emailing hello@fictionfest.co.uk. The Equality Act 2010 requires reasonable adjustments for disabled attendees.

7. Conduct
Attendees must conduct themselves according to venue rules and staff instruction. Attendees must behave respectfully towards Attendees, staff, and Exhibitors.Harassment, abusive behaviour, or illegal activity will result in removal from the Event without refund.Attendees agree to comply with all venue security checks including bag inspections and ID verification.Attendees may not record sessions without prior written permission

8. Health & Safety
Attendees must conduct themselves according to venue rules and staff instruction. Attendees must comply with all health and safety regulations, including fire safety and emergency procedures.Electrical equipment must be PAT tested and approved for venue use.Aisles and emergency exits must remain clear at all times.

9. Photography, filming & marketing
Photography and filming will take place at the Event.By attending, you consent to the Organiser capturing their likeness, image, and voice during the Event. and grant the Organiser the right to use such recordings and images in perpetuity solely for the purposes of marketing, promoting, documenting, and reporting on the Event (including in print, digital, broadcast, and social media formats). Reasonable objections can be sent to hello@fictionfest.co.uk, but removal of already published images cannot be guaranteed.

10. Data Protection
Attendee data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.This includes sharing data with ticketing providers, payment processors, insurers, venue staff, and contractors where necessary to deliver the Event.Attendees may withdraw consent at any time by contacting hello@fictionfest.co.uk.

11. Third parties & suppliers
We work with suppliers (ticketing, payment, photographers, caterers, venue staff). Those suppliers may receive attendee data where needed for fulfilment. See our Privacy Policy for details.

12. Liability & Indemnity
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.Otherwise, liability is limited to the ticket price paid.Exhibitors are encouraged to hold public liability and personal property insurance. Attendees are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and personal insurance. The Organiser accepts no liability for lost or stolen items.

13. Complaints & Governing Law
Complaints: hello@fictionfest.co.uk. We will acknowledge complaints and aim to resolve them. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
